Buy Fish

One day, . I went with my friend and his daughter to a beach in Hove, and we bought some fish near the beach.
We passed a lake on the way, we looked at some people practising sailing boats, and some white swans on the lake, and then my friend told me a funny story about the swans, he said, all swans belong to the Queen. One day, a girl wanted to give some food to a swan, but the swan hurt her, so the girl wrote a letter send to the Queen, and then the Queen wrote in return, my friend told me, if your get a letter from the Queen you will be lucky.
We crossed the lake, I looked at a fish shop, it isn't very big, but their fish and crab were very fresh, we came back his home and fried the fish and steamed the crab. That was a good day, we were very happy!

Since my arrival I think that brington is between the best places in the UK ‘ where live lots of people from several countries ,culture and believes .All of these following reasons have did Brigthon a nice peaceful city
When finished my course I often go to beache because I like beache and sea .especially sea is very very beautiful . sometimes standing front of the sea and I m looking the sea during for a long time because I feel happy and relax . paricular I like windy with raining . I think so I fall in love the sea so I always go to the sea .when the sea see me I think it is happy
I think Brigthon nightlife is exciting so a lot of people coming up in here from other cities in the UK . These days Brigthon is lively because coming soon the christmas .People is booking for christmas party .

free time

If have free time ,I always go out with friends for about three days. We have a barbecue ,also play war games for about five hours , and chat and laugh together.

in my free time

Always in my free time I go to play football with my friends . If I don't find my friends I read a book or use the internet and chat with people and sometimes I go shopping and look for the people . After I finish shopping I sometimes go to the sea and walk and listen to the bird if the weather is good . Then I drink some coffee with cake or something.
and sometimes I go to the cinema with my friends and watch a film.
Then if I feel hungry I eat dinner after I finish dinner I go to my home .

I am in brighton

When I came to Brighton,I found I have already liked it here. Before I think maybe it is different to my home town.But I am wrong! It was very lovely and fantasic.I like go shopping!I like shopping! There are so many clothes shops here. I can buy some famous brands in Brighton of couse! The most famous brands are in london. Last week I bought a cream suit for my new friend in London .He spent his birthday in London.And my best friend bought some Chanel sunglasses. A few days ago, I bought a pair of boots. When I am in China, I like punk. But I can not buy punk, trinkets ,shoes, even clothes.But I don't like the shoes here. Because I can 't wear size three. It is the smallest size here .But for me it is so big. I must buy shoes in my country. I wear the boots now. I really like it although they are big for me but I always wear them!

Since my arrival I think that Brighton is one of the best places in the UK ,where lots of people live from many countries, cultures and mentalities. All of these following reasons make Brigthon a nice, peaceful city .
When I do not have courses and I relax by going to the beach ,where I spend two hours just looking at the sea and I like the sound of the waves. These moments are very peaceful for me and it allows me to forget all the stress and homesick feelings that I have.
I often go to Churchill Square just to look at the shop and during the weekend I usually watch a football match with some friends.
As the weather is unpredictable, I don't walk in the country as much as I would like, because I like nature.
I'm really enjoying my stay in Brighton.

Brighton

Brighton, in my opinion is the best city in the south of England....
I visited a lot of cities near Brighton for example Hove,Lewes, Shoreham,Rottingdean, Seaford, Alfriston etc..
Everyday I go to the city centre, in Brighton, just for a walk.... for Example three days ago I went to Churchill Square and I walked for a long time around the shopping centre,window shopping...
A lot of people say it`s a really good place for walking......
Sometimes the weather is miserable and it`s often cloudy and wet, and it`s impossible walk.... But this is England...

My time in Brighton..

Brighton is bigger than my city, it is a seaside city where people can to do everything.. relax, shop, eat .. I like Brighton.
Always in the morning I go to university and after that I often go to the city center for a walk, I love window shopping. I sometimes have a good cup of tea and a delicious cake in a tea room, I love that English tradition because teatime is an occasion to meet and speak with friends. In Italy we don't have this tradition, often they only have a coffee in the afternoon, because in my country people meet friends for an aperitive.
I have been to cities near Brighton, I saw Shoreham, it is very nice, and is divided in two parts by a small river, in one part there is the small city with pubs and shops and here I love to sit on a bench to look at the river and the people who eat fish and chips. I have been to Alfriston, it is very small, there are two streets and one square but it is a good place to organize a romantic dinner because there are restaurants which are very warm with fireplaces and are very welcoming. Now I have one week left. Tomorrow I will go to London for the second time.. the first was not very good becouse it was raining and I couldn't see anything. I hope that tomorrow is better.

my freetime in Brighton

I spent a lot of nice times in my free time in Brighton. Brighton is very nice city. It has got nice places to visit or look around. I went to Brighton beach and Brighton Pier. I went to Brighton marina on Sunday. There are nice places in the marina also there is ASDA super market. ASDA is cheaper than other shops or markets. I always go shopping from there. I ate special food in Turkish restaurants. I ussualy eat traditional Turkish food. I visited interesting places for me for example a church or the Taj palace. I sometime looked round the town with my friend, sometimes with Muhhammed sometimes with Chang sometimes Sidy or Mansur. Sometimes I visited my Turkish friends in their home. I had acsses to the internet. I enjoyed these things. I played football and went swimming and I walked in the city centre. When I did these things I was very happy. Sometimes I went to London. London is a nice city but I think Brgihton is nicer than London and it is quiter than London. Brighton's traffic is calmer than London's traffic. I have had a good time here because I like this country. I love you Britain

My Friend

Jon is my friend, he comes from America, Boston He is our language teacher at college.
He is a fat man ,but we didn''t know he is very fast at football ,in fact ,he is very good at every sport ,he usually wear American football T-shirts and blue jeans ,if he is in goal,he takes off his T-shirt and runs around the playground.
He is very friendly,he like cola a lot, we go to chafing ?? dish restaurant ,the chafing?? dish usually is very hot ,so he drinks a lot cola ,we are very happy together.
He is a very good teacher,he can use very easy language to describe a very difficult question,and he is very lovely ,sometimes the girls make fun of him ,his face is red ...
He is my good friend ,he is at the unversity of Hong Kong now .

I describe one of my friends at the Sussex Language Institute. His name is Sidy and he is the tallest person in my class. He has got short black hair . He usually wears jeans and a jumper .He wears a white T-shirt and beige jumper and a blue with black jacket today . He wears black shoes , size 42. He is very handsome and friendly and attractive and athletic and helpful. He has got a nickname in our classroom . hiHis m nickname is CD .
Sometimes I and my friends say CD is never angry and nervous. I feel lucky because I met Sidy

my friend DanQing

DanQing was my best friend in university.I don't know how to describe to her.She was not plump,maybe she has a little fat! As a girl every one wants to be beautiful,so she was same, too. A funny story always stays in my memory. Wearing boots was very popular that year.And she liked them. So she bought a new pair of boots. She wanted to wear boots but she has a pair of wide legs , so she can't wearthem! One day she make a big decision to wear a pair of boots. Everybody helped her. She lay on the bed . The other friends and I helped her. If you saw the scene it was very funny.In the end we were successful! She was very happy to wear the boots. She went home. When she returned home she could not walk because the boots was very tight! The night passed. The second day she wanted to wear them again.But everybody thought she was crazy!haha...Just a joke!

my brother

My brother's name is Ali. He is the oldest brother in my family. He is married. He has got 3 children. He has got a olive oil factory. His job is wonderful. He is very clever especially in his job. He is 34 yeras old. His 1.70 m tall . He weighs 78 kg. He is very succesfsul in his life because he is a nice father, husband, brother, friend, son and business man. Everyone who knows him, likes him He always likes helping other people for example poor people , his friends, his relatives. He likes traditional food especially meat and cold drinks. He can speak Arabic and some English. Infact he has got a very strong personaltiy. He is there for me when I need him so I am lucky. Thank you for everything. Fortunately you are there.

I'am going today to describe one of my friends in the Sussex language Institute.His name's Mansour and he comes from Saudia Arabia.
Mansour has been married since 2002 and has got two children whose names are Zaid and Fatima. He's very funny and sociable, he is courageous because he takes care of his family and tries to do his homework even if it not easy for him.
Sometimes I say that he's fat when I tease him but he's never nervous or angry.
He's always hungry and likes to talk about food, generally Arabic food.
Mansour normally wear jeans,T shirt, brown shoes with a jacket and sunglasses.
He 's Musilm like me and all Muslims are brothers ,so sometimes I call him my brother.

My son name's Zaid, he's three years old, he's handsome, he likes to play the ball every day and he likes to eat biscuits and crisps, he's energetic and dynamic and affectionate.

Abdulla is my best friend he is 20 years old and he's a very friendly and funny and lovely person
I smile because he is funny.
We always go shopping or go to the sea together or meet other friends for coffee or something and talk and drink tea or coffee .
He studies Law and sometimes I can't go with Aabdulla becaus he has homework or an exam .
He wants to be lawyer because he likes law and his father has the same job.

This is my best friend's description.
He is 24, his birthday is in January. He's about 1.80 metre tall, he has got brown eyes and short brown hair. He doesn't wear glasses and usually he wears jeans and a t-shirt but on Saturday when he is preparing to go out , he wears elegant clothes.
He is a police man and he doesn't live in Sicily, he lives in the north of Italy, also he is younger, he got married last summer. He is very funny and he has got a lot of friends. He comes back to Sicily only for a holiday, in the summer and at Christmas, and then, he calls all friends to his home for a meal together.

after my english courses

I come from Turkey where I worked as a district governer . I decided come to England to learn English and improve my English level which is important for my political career .
In December when we visit my relativies we are planning to go to France because my sister is living in France . She told me Bordeaux is a nice city and that is on the border of Spain so we will go to Spain .
We are guests for two nights so our trip must be fast because we have only two days.
After my courses in December next year I will return to my country and work as a district governer.

I am going to London for one week with my family, to go shopping and see the London eye and Harrods and Hyde Park, and other parts of London. My wife wants to go to Manchester to visit a chocolate factory.
After that I'd like to study one to one for four hours a day .

Christmas Day

This christmas will be different to ones before. Every Christmas I stay in my country. At that time we often exchange giftw. We eat oranges, apples and exchange orangs and apples because the pronunciation of the word apple represents safety in my language and we call it a 'safe fruit'. But now I will stay in the UK for Christmas. How do people spend Christmas? I don't know. Maybe I can go to London. I heard that there is cheap shoping in London. Maybe I will buy a cheap coat, lotion, foundation, cream and handbag. and buy some gifts for my friends. Maybe some Chinese people will have a party in London. Everybody need entertainment. Maybe I will play the guitar or drums but I prefer make up. I think I can bring some make up to London and make up every actress. That will be a fantastic festival.

good morning

I am planning go to my country orI am planning to go on a journey in Europe for a holiday after my course. If I go to my country I will visit my family and visit my friends and visit my relatives. I will eat traditional food. Infact they are very delicious and I miss all these. If I won't go to my country I will take a journey in Europe. I am planning to visit Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Greece and Austria because I have been thinking about these countries since my childhood. Then maybe I will go to the USA if I have time. My colleagues are on a course there.

After my English courses

I come from Mali where I worked as a Manager in a training center for rural youth.I decided to come to the Uk in order to learn English in the Sussex Languague Institute.

In the Christmas holiday,I would like to visit my friends in Germany excatly in the town which is called Bonn.
They (friends) tell me that Bonn is an small nice town where several strange communities live ,there are for examples African community,Caribbean,Turkish ......
I'am very happy if I think that I'll go to Germany for Christmas,because I have never gone in this European country but I am afraid ,as it is winter in Germany.

After my courses in june next year ,I want to do a Masters in finance Management in the university of Sussex,which is renowned in the world for its good quality.

after the course

After the course finishes , I will back to my country for holiday 1 month , I will visit my family and my friends , and I will take from Brighton some gifts for my brother and my father and my mother , after I finish my holiday, I will come back to Brighton to study another course for 10 weeks .

I went to the garden with my wife at about 10.am we did homework, read and finished homework at 11.30 am , after the we cooked some food , made tea so we met new friends. Then we eatate together and we are very happy. In the afternoon we talked about Brighton so after that we went home at 4pm and had a shower ,watched tv on my laptop and went to bed.

last holiday

Last holiday was a troubled day for me. My friend and I went to London, because we went bought some clothes and lotions. But she had to work that day. So I had to wait for her. In the end her work finished at two o'clock so we took a train to London. London has a China town. I bought a telephone card . The card was so cheap. I used it to call my family. It was my favourite thing. When we went to the shopping centre, the time passed quickly ,and we could not find it so we just took the train back at ten o'clock. When we arrived at Brighton train station there were no buses to my home, so i just called my friend and he drove us in his car. The story sounds like a joke.

One year ago , I went to Aantalya for a holiday. During my holiday I had a good time .I went to beach than I sunbathed and stood infront of the sea and looked for a long time so I felt happy and I felt relaxed, I didn't go in the sea because I don't kno how to swim.
I felt a disappointed because my car crashed into a motorbike so I felt sad but I didn't hurt anyone.
I met new friends . We did a lot of social activities with them for example we played football and beach volleyball and we played other exciting games.

I went with my family to the seven sisters two months ago, I saw a lot of sheep and cows then I made barbecue it was delicious and we played football then we walked for an hour .
It was nice weather and we are very happy.

One of my memorable holiday,is that I spent last weekend was with my friends of the Sussex Language Institute.We went to Preston Park with and we cooked aTurkish Barbecue. For this Halid and Mecan brought the meat, chicken and the necessary equipment. We drank Arabic coffee and ate delicious rice that Mansour's wife made for us.
In the afternoon we played a very friendly football match .Everybody was happy to spent those moments together.

I went to Dubi for a holiday about 5 months ago. My childhood friend lives there. He called me and said: When are you coming to Dubai? I decided to go to Dubai. I went to Dubai for a week. I stayed in Abu-dabi city in Dubai. Dubai is a very nice and fantastic city. I spent a lot of time there. I saw some great places. There is a very famous hotel there. It's name is Burj-Al-Arab. It is a very nice hotel but it is very expensive. Because you can pay $20000 for a night. It is made on an island, the island is man-made so it is very nice. The buildings are fantastic. There are alot of electronic machines. Computers, mobile phones, cameras, mp3 players everthing. They are very cheap there. I like it but the weather is very hot. There are a lot of light and lasers so the nights are very nice. I stayed at my friend's home so I had a cheap holiday in Dubai. I ate very nice traditional food. In fact it was a very great week. Thank you my friend, thank you Hisam. See you again in Dubai

about last holiday

On my last holiday I went with my friend in the morning to the beach .
We went swimming and played jetsky and played football after we finished
we went to the restaurant and ate lunch. After we finished we all went home .
In the evening I went with my family to visit my grandmother and got some presents.
Then we went to city centre to buy some clothes and walked in the street. After we went to the restaurant ate dinner. After we finished we drank some coffee and sweets .
Then we went back home .

We celebrate a festival on the 29th October. Its name is the Republic festival. It is celebrated in my country. The festival is our national festival. Our republic was founded in 1923. We have celebrated this festival since 1923. This festival very important for us. Our goverment founded this festival. Residents, Prime Ministers, ministers and governers come to this festival. We have a light and laser show and ceremony duringthe festival. Solders, police and students take part in this ceremony.

1st November

All Saint's day... This day, is very important for the Catholic church, because on this day all saints are commemorated and the following day we commemorate the dead.... This commemoration started in the IV century. At the moment on this date most people go to visit the their dead relatives in the cemetery..

chinese new year

The Chinese are famous for their culture. I think the best festival is Chinese New year! New year is a time for family get together at home. Every one eats dumplings. This is a good time for every body. I think I can tell a story. At New year, you stay at home rather than go out side because New year is god's time. If you outside, maybe you can meet the devil or good luck- god. If you meet a good luck -god .you will have good luck for one year and if you meet the devil you will have bad luck. So every chinese person sticks a god picture on the door so that the devil can not come to people's home. aha! That's only hearsay! But people do not do itnow. Another story is the devil's (the devil is a god's son) story. The devil like eating. So every year he comes to people's homes to eat but he doesn't work so people invent firecrackers to kick out the devil. Every new year is set off firecrackers now.

Dragon Boat Festival

The Dragon Boat Festival is also called the fifth day of the fifth lunar month.
The Dragon Boat Festival is one of the most important Chinese festivals, the other two are the Autumn Moon Festival and Chinese New Year.
The Dragon Boat Festival has a long history, it is more than 2000 years old.
We eat zongzi ,garlic,and tea eggs .
The Dragon boat contest in this festival is important ,more and more people enjoy this contest in this day.

Ramadan

This month is very important for the muslims.

1. I go with my family to Vealg where my parents live at Ramadam, and my mother cooks special food eg soup and meat with rice and a lot of sweets and a lot of things to eat.

2. We go to pray Trawhi at the mosque .

Ferragosto 15 August

Ferragosto is a typical Italian holiday
It is a mix of religious and fun. The Christian religion celebrates this day to remember Mary's body ascending into heaven.
Also, inthe 18th century BC a Roman Emperor called Ottaviano Augusto instituted this holiday calling Ferragosto bythe Latin name Feriae Augusti (Augusto's rest)
On this day, people go to the sea at night, they eat on the beach and stay there to sleep.

Puppet Festival

Each year in my country there is a puppet festival (in Markala). This festival is very famous because lot of people participate in it.The puppets are sometimes made of wood or fabric, all of are made by African Artists.
The puppets represent aquatic, domestic or wild animals,s ometimes the puppets look like little people.
This festival takes place near the Niger river in an important cutural town in Mali call Markala.
My country's economy depends in part on tourism, so this beautiful festival is very important for us.

ramadan

Ramadan is a very special month. In ramadan I usually eat breakfast with my family and sometimes I go with my friend to the sea or restaurant and eat breakfast together. After ramadan finishes we have a 3 day holiday. On the first day in the morning we go to visit my grandmother and eat breakfast together and in the evening all the people give the children a present or money and eat dinner and the next day we go to play or to the sea and all the children are happy because they are playing .

The story is Orhan Pamuk s story, he is very poor a person, when he was 15 years old his father died. He lived with family in a small house . This house has only one bathroom . He has got one brother and one sister . His sister's name is Deniz and his brother's name is Hakan . Orhan's ambition is to one day become a famous writer so when he left work , he went to the beach and looked at the sea. Sometimes he looked at the sea for a very long time.
